About Leona

Leona, one of our oldest cows on the farm.

In 2008 she was taken to the local fair as a 4-H project. When she walked with you she would purposely try to step on your feet. When we go out to move the heard we have to take the time to give her a good scratch. Leona also has a big appetite, making her easy to spot out in the field. She is a wonderful layed back mother. One year she unfortunitly lost her calf, so we gave her two Holstein calves to take care of. That was not a problem for her, she happily adopted the sons.
