Sausage Bread: A Farmers Breakfast

We all have our guilty pleasures when it comes to food. Sausage bread happens to be one of them in this houshold. The men love this little treat to start their day off; and maybe for the three coffee breaks they take throughout the day. Lets just say, when I make this, I have to make multiple loaves. It’s a super simple recipe that you definitley want to try!

The Homegrown Difference

We get a few questions about the difference between our product and the product at the store, it’s supposedly the same thing, just cheaper.DSC_1320

You go through the store and look at all your options, compare the price, and read in-depth about each product. How do you know where the product is truly from and what was involved in raising it? There’s a lot of loopholes when it comes to raising and labeling these products. You should also be thinking about how far the product has traveled to get to your table.

Some think the best meat is never frozen and others think grass finished is the way to go.

Spring Happenings

We are so happy that spring is finally here! 


A lot has happened on the farm in just a short time. Weather has been an issue at times, but we are making do.

For your health, it is best to know where your meat comes from. Did you know one hamburger readily available to you might come from many different cows? Ground beef is usually a mixture of meat from different cows. The meat that is mixed into burger could be coming from multiple cows all over the country. This definitely raises the risk for contamination of E. coli and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
